hey everybody! i started this fotki pretty much because everyone on nappturality has one and i thought that it was time i got into the mix. right now i'm going through some hair changes, as you can see from my pictures. i swear that i will no longer go blond to get to red (it killed my hair) and i also swear that i will always wear my hair natural. when i thought about it, i realized that i only permed my hair between the ages of 12-16. before that my hair was pressed and after 16 i decided to go natural (i'm 33 now, so that's a long time having natural hair). i wish that i had an online community like nappturality to go to back then, but oh well, i made it through anyways. from ages 18-26 i had locks. they were long and beautiful, yet very heavy...so i cut them and kept my hair pretty short for a year or two, then decided to grow it out. i've never had extensions or a weave, and i just learned how to do flat-twists. because i'm so very tender-headed, i tend to do my own hair, except for cutting or trimming it. since i've had some recent color damage, i have now decided that i will only use dark & lovely color or henna on my hair. i hope that you enjoy my pictures and my journey through life.
