I started this album to see how my hair progresses over time. My ultimate goal is to have thick healthy midback length natural hair, even though I'll probably want more once I get to that length. Seeing all the ladies on BHM and around my college campus made me want to transition even more.


My Most Recent Regimen:
I'm trying to keep my ends healthy and retain length so I'm bunning. I shampoo and deep condition every week. I've also started oil rinsing.

Products
Shampoo:
-Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo

Conditioner: (I don't use these at the same time, I like to try different things every now an then)
-Elasta QP Intense Fortifying Hair Conditioner
-ORS Replinishing Pak
-V05 Moisture milks (used for co-washing, and as a leave-in)
-ORS Mayo
-Actual mayonnaise
-Eggs
-Yogurt

Leave Ins:
-Glycerin/conditioner/water mix
-FOTE Aloe vera gel for for laying down hair and defining coils.
-Eco-Styler Gel (heavier than Aloe Vera Gel)
-Elasta QP Mango Butter
-Olive oil
-Coconut oil
-Peppermint oil


Tools:
-Wide toothed comb
-Denman Brush
-Spray bottle
-Smaller toothed comb
-Plastic bristled brush(I know I know, I should be using a boar bristle brush)
-Rat tailed comb

Misc:
-Lotta Body Setting Lotion (used if I ever want to do some type of set.)
-Water in a spray bottle *When I'm prepping my hair for sets b/c some parts dry before I can get to them.*

A member from BHM suggested a great way to maximize the benefits from products during washing. This goes by the principle that warm water opens the cuticle layer and cold water closes it. She said alot but this a summary:
-Wet hair with cold water
-Apply shampoo
-Rinse with cold water
-When soap is out, rinse with warm water
-Apply conditioner
-Rinse with cold water
-Apply oil
-Rinse with cold water.
