For privacy and sanity, my guestbook and photos are only available to those who are on my Friends list.

I am sorry that I do not automatically add people as a friend if I comment on their photos. Not everyone thanks me for my comments, let alone comments on my Folder 1 photos when I give them access. In the end, it is a waste time adding everyone. If you want to thank me for comments and I did not add you as a friend, here is an alternate gb of mine

There is a journal that only my Friends can see. It is the 2nd journal down from the top. It lists the links to my most recently uploaded photos, along with the dates that they were posted.

Comments are the currency I use to rationalize the time and effort I put into Fotki. Comments are important to me because I view a comment as YOUR vote of approval that a specific photo was posted. IF you like the photos that I post, keep in mind that I get paid in comments.

Comments never have to be about me. Comments can be about the photo itself or something in the photo other than me. One word comments are fine, as are comments that are not even words! For example: ":)", "!", "LOL", etc. If you have access to 3 Folders and honestly do not like any of the new photos I've been posting, I suggest you comment on an old photo. That lets me know you are still interested in the site and you will retain your access.

***If you used to have access to Folder 1:***
I deleted you bc you did not comment at all, or if you did, you did not comment much. Maybe you made a few comments, but that does not indicate much interest in my photos considering there are 132 photos in Folder 1. I am SWAMPED around here, communicating with people who love my photos and are not afraid to say so. I am sorry you were not one of them. In order to use my time efficiently on Fotki and in order to be FAIR to those who comment more, I keep my Friends list as short as possible. That means deleting people who do not have much to say about Folder 1 photos.

***If you used to have access to Folders 1 and 2***
You were deleted bc you made no comments on Folder 2 or you only found a couple photos which you felt were worthy of a comment and yet you had access to Folder 2 for at least 1 month. The other scenario is that you did find a decent number of photos to comment on (but not enough to get access to Folder 3), 2 months went by, I contacted you to say that new photos have been posted in Folders 1 and 2 in the past 2 months, but you never found more photos to comment on.

If you were a friend of mine in good standing whose account got blocked OR you chose to delete your account OR you received one of my "I'd love to have you back when you return to Fotki." messages, please leave me a message on the gb link below. http://guestbooks.fotki.com/MichelleAnne/public/ and I will re-add you.

On the other hand, if your account has been available to you and you did not get a "love to have you back" note, then I'm sorry, but it seemed to me that you lost interest in my photos. I am on Fotki to get communication on my photos. Being that I post one or two new photos every week, it is only fair to me and fair to those who comment at least fairly regularly that I delete my Friends who have established a pattern of not commenting anymore.

It is important to me that I thank you for your comments and it is important to me that you keep my gb messages. It is my documentation system. If you did comment in the past 2 months but I did not thank you, please tell me and I will look into it. For the record, I give more than 2 months of silence to some people and slightly less than 2 months of silence to other people, depending on their history with me.

If I deleted you yet you had not been on Fotki for an extended period of time, I realize that it does not seem fair that I did not offer to re-add you when you get back to Fotki, which is my general practice in a case like that. There are 3 possible reasons is why I did not leave one of my "Love to have you back" notes. I will explain all 3 possibilities in the next 3 paragraphs.

One reason might be that this is at least the 2nd time you've established a pattern of not commenting. You've made it clear that you have other priorities. I have priorities too, and that is only keeping active people on my Friends list. Let's just part company. Best wishes. :)

Another reason why I may not have left a "Love to have you back" note is that unfortunately, I did not know if you were trustworthy or not. I did not know whether you are a person of integrity/character who will not be reposting my photos.

Yet another reason that I did not leave a "love to have you back" note might be that I simply did not know much about you, so I did not feel that you are a true friend. I am very upfront about who I am and what my life is like. I put myself "out there" and you know a heck of a lot about me if you had access to all 3 folders. I want to get to know who you are in return for me being so transparent. If I do not get a sense of who you are, then I just do not feel comfortable sharing my photos with you anymore. I'm sorry it didn't work out between us.

If you find stolen photos of mine posted elsewhere, please report them to me along with the link. The rewards will be as follows : If you are a current Friend, you will be rewarded with a special photo . If you used to be a Friend, I will give you a second chance with my photos and I will make an Honorarium photo for you.
