Hello there, welcome to my fotki.

I'm a natural head lol. I'm here to chronicle my natural hair story. I believe my last perm was early October 2005. My big chop was May 17, 2006. I had been natural most of my life and was very ignorant of how to take care of relaxed hair. Although I am more knowledgeable of how to care for my hair i find that i prefer my natural hair for its health, and versatility but mostly because it fits me :).
Even though i would like to achieve more length retention i am more focused on the overall health of my hair.
This means that i
- trim my hair every couple of months, and whenever else i feel that its necessary.
- I wear protective styles constantly.

I have finally developed a loose routine
-Weekly (every 1-2 weeks)
1. section my hair into quadrants
2. deep condition with suave coconut conditioner
3. shampoo my hair with Neutrogena Stubborn Itch Control and rinse
4. while still in the shower, spritz hair with my Macassar oil, and sauve coconut conditioner leave in and re-braid quadrants
5.after shower, wrap hair in silk scarf to dry overnight
6. after my hair is completely dry, i moisturize each quadrant with with Qhemets Olive and Honey Hydrating Balm, and re-braid it until its time to style my hair again.

-everyday i spritz my hair to keep it moisturized.
