Welcome to my album... if you are here for the Train build pics, you must know a bit about its history in dragracing. WWW.twotogo.com is a fantastic place for a passle of pics of the real Train... she now resides in the NHRA Motorsports museum in Anaheim, CA and is lovingly tended to by Greg Sharp, the curator there. What I am trying to build from scratch is the '66'67 version I saw run @ the Sunflower Rod and Custom Raceway in Great Bend, KS back then. John Peters has built a car which has such a storied history that the car still holds many records in her class. Last run @ Bakersfiels in the '01 Cackelfest, I am trying to do justice to her and her builder. I plan it to be no showpiece, but rather a Working Girl that put all of us on our feet when she came to the lin and the thunder of the two SBCs blasted the air.It is with a bit of difficulty that I undertake this humble project as this version no longer stands on its own. John was a builder and was constantly altering, changing and recreating her. The old Train lies deep under the museum piece.John was a builder not a photographer... therefore I've had to rely on old photos to be correct. Hopefully, I'll do he and she right in this build!! Will also be posting a few other pics here also. Check out wwwlargescalemodelercom for other cool builds!! Come back and visit and pass it on !!
