ABOUT MY HAIR

I started my hair care journey in December 2007. Within 6 months of my journey I decided that I wanted to transition to natural hair. I wanted to stop relying on a relaxer and work with my natural hair instead of against it. I am so happy that i am transitioning, from time to time I think about relaxing but I try to remember that my main goal is to have healthy natural hair. I am hoping to stay committed and transition for about a year or more that way I will have more length to work with.

My 4 STEP HAIR CARE REGIMEN

1. Deep Condition
2. Co-wash
3. Leave-in/ Moisturize
4. Air dry in a ponytail or bun (using the scarf method)

DETAILS
*I Deep condition Once- twice a week on Dry hair, parting my hair in sections and braiding them as i go along. Usually 4-6 sections.

* I always wash and detangle my hair in sections.

* Co-wash (I adopted the Curly Girl Method of no-poo)

* I use a moisturizing conditioner as my leave-in

* I clarify once a month or when needed with ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar)

*I detangle only in the shower with my Denman and conditiner applied to my hair

* Bun or ponytail daily

* Added Info.
- I also use the baggy method but I must admitt that I do not do it faithfully
- At night I use either my satin scarf or my satin bonnet. I also use my satin pillow cases for added protection.
- I do not comb my natural hair (new growth) during the week because combing natural hair can cause breakage to to hair and it will frizzy up. Also it just hurts to comb my natural hair.
