I've been natural since 2005. I've had my ups and downs with my natural hair but I will never go back to relaxing.

2008-2009 was the worst time for my hair. I was absolutely fed up with my hair and did nothing to do it other than wear it in a bun. It got very tangly. So tangly, in fact, I had one section that completely locked up and in a bout of frustration I chopped it off. Luckily I have so much hair, you can't really notice my missing chunk.

Now I'm back on the hair bandwagon and I'm in love with taking care of my hair. With some regular, weekly maintenance (deep treatments, detangling, etc) I've realized my hair does not have to be a hassle.
