- Greetings all, the year is now approaching “2007”, boy does time fly… Well, I actually gained knowledge of this site, through another wonderful site called www.nappturality.com I really wish I would have known about it last year when I decided to go NATURAL. So I could share my journey. I was going through some trying times in my life where I wanted to be different, expressing me in a whole other light. Though no one understood it nor me, my light shined and is still shinning bright. I remember it like yesterday, it was November 2005 I was sitting in my Aunt’s chair at her salon and I told her to chop it off, as if that wasn’t enough, 1 week later I dyed it a honey blonde color. I wore the short and sassy look up until March of 2006 (my hair was transitioning), then that’s when decided that it was time for braids. During that short 8 months I’ve had my hair in micros’ 5 times, in between times I get 2 deep conditions for maintenance. I love seeing my sistah’s embracing there natural beauty. I was so inspired by one of my closest girlfriend’s, she’s been natural for quite some time now, and believe me when I say my sista wears her hair with confidence…
