I wondered for about a year before I stopped perming what my hair in it's natural state looked like. So to the internet I went! I typed in the words 'nappy' 'kinky' 'natural' 'african-american' 'unprocessed hair' and it brought me to many sites but ultimately to Nappturality. The first few people I came across was Seoul and Sweet Africa. I was hooked! I started my transition in September 2003 by braiding my hair and did my BCin June 2004. It never crossed my mind to document any of it so I don't have any pictures. (??) Soon after my daughter followed and we have both been lye free ever since then.
