On July 4th, 2006 I made a decision that not too many others are strong enough to do...I did the big chop and cut off all my permed hair and went natural!!! So far it's been good. Altough, at times it has been tough, I don't regret it. Tough times make strong people. Being natural is definitely fun. If you don't like the way a style fits, you can try many other ones. For me it also required a different way of how I take care of my hair. When I had the perm, I noticed my hair would grow very long when i left it in braids, but it broke often when it was not in braids. Luckily, before the big chop, I realized that the problem was I dont take good enough care of my ends. So when I went natural I researched online how to take care of natural hair and thanks to Motowngirl (motowngirl.com) and Thia (thiastyle.com) I finally came up with an improved way to take care of my hair. Then i decided to make an online journal, and maybe, just maybe it would help out another natural sista...Either way this is my journey, keep posted, and enjoy.
