I'm a U.S. Contractor working and supporting our troops in Iraq. I've been on ground since March 19, 2004. Taking care of my hair has been a real challenge out here in the Iraqi dust bowl. I'm not too happy at the condition my hair. I vow to make 2010 my best happy nappy hair growing year ever.

I have thick, kinky naturally nappy type 4ab hair.

I've been natural for at least 8 years, wearing braid/twist extensions the entire time. My final goal is to grow my hair to full, shoulder length unstretched.

I won't forget to moisturize my hair daily.
I won't forget to nurture and baby my ends.
I won't be a product junkie.
I won't forget the basics.
I won't set unrealistic expectations.
I won't waste any more time trying to get the perfect type 3 something curls.
I won't loathe my naturally nappy hair any longer.
