- This is my second time trying to go through with transitioning. I started trying to go natural in 2007. I always wore my hair straight because I was worried about what people would say about my hair in its natural state. In April of 2009, I tried to put a relaxer in and all it did was make my hair curlier. I didn't try that again. So here I am again more motivated than ever to do right by my hair.
