- I have always had an interest in photography, starting with using my mother's Brownie camera and developing the b & w film at school. I graduated to a Kodak 110 (remember?), then to polaroids, and finally as a high school graduation, I received my first SLR; an Olympus. I fell down the Capitol Hill steps with camera in hand, but held it high above me to save it. I won't describe my cuts and bruises on my elbows, chin and knees! It's just recently, with my kids growing up, that I can really "look and see" the things around me to photograph. I love seeing all of the other "Fotkins" work and getting ideas from all of you.
