I Am 100% natural now (yayyy!) and WILL be bra strap length by Dec 09 (God willing)

I started this journey because I LOVE how thick my hair is and how fast it grows. i just couldnt maintain my growth with a perm. Dont get me wrong, all you relaxed ladies out there get my love too. I just couldnt do it because I always had to trim what I grew so it would look healthy. I hate seeing long, straggly,dry ends; and that's how my ends were with a perm, no matter how often I moisturized. I know that I can make it to bra strap natural, so that's what I'm doing and where I'm heading. I cut ALL the perm out on June 16th, 2007 after transitioning for a year and some change.Working my way to bra strap at LEAST!!!

My fave products are PhytoSpecific Hair Masque, Wen's Fig conditioner shampoo, and Suave conditioners for co washing. i use Apple Cide vinegar to clarify. I love Wild Growth oil and Qhemet's Heavy Amla Cream and Olive Detangler too (Qhemet rocks!). I'm also in love with straight hair, so yeah, I flat iron every couple of months. braids have seriously helped my hair GROW. I guess it keeps my hands out of my hair. I'm staying away for a while though, because they're not good to my ends.

My transition was fun and I learned a lot about my natural hair, what it can and can't do, and what products work for me. Believe me, our hair is NOT created equal. What works for one may not be your best bet so whether relaxed or natural, find YOUR perfect regimen. Pay attention to how your hair reacts to products. Now that I'm on my mission and know what to use on my hair, it's time to GROWWWWWWWWWW, so stay with me and keep me grounded!
