Transitioning again because I'm too lazy to keep getting touch-ups! So annoying! So now I'm on my second journey towards embracing the natural life lol.

Hmm.. JK..I think I might go back to relaxers again. I change my minda lot. I want both! =(

I like learning about a lot of things, especially hair care.

I'm currently growing out my relaxer (since September 2006) and I don't have a regimen or anything.
NOT ANYMORE!<--- uh nope, I got another perm (Mizani Lye this time) in February 08!!

I go to Dominican salons every two weeks and sometimes (if I dont have to go anywhere) I wash and condition it myself and wear a bun.

I don't know my hair type, maybe someone else could help me out with that (lol).

I *always* wear my hair down, and I've been dusting my ends myself since October, so I havent had any real trims for a while, but my ends are okay.

** I recently (Mar.27) started using MN in the form of Neosporin AF to hopefully shorten this transitioning process... I dont know how I'm going to tell if it grew or not though, since I always straighten my hair-- what looks like new growth is just my my straightened natural hair becoming natural again because of product!

Ok, I'm tired of using MN because it's annoying..part, rub in, part, rub in, part, rub in, etc etc etc..but I 'll be darned if that tiny 8 dollar tube is not finished! So, after it's done, so is the MN experiment...(Yes, I know it's May...that tube did not last a month, I just totally slacked off with the MN so I have a quarter of it left)

==> Recently, I've been pin-curling my hair instead of wrapping it. It has a lotttt more bounce and looks more natural..Other people have told me it looks really nice, which is great because it takes only two minutes to do!! I do four pin curls and put on a satin scarf (and sleep on a satin pillow, in case the scarf comes off...which it usually does)

(but it's really not all official..my goal is do as little as I can to look good lol -- not that I'm lazy - I mean I'm all for spending time where it's worth it or necessary- it's just I want to be **effortlessly** beautiful -- it takes away from the end result if I know I'll have to invest another huge chunk of time to ever look the same)

Lol, but seriously -- if I have a week off from school and the last week of school is the week right before I get my hair done, I do it myself, and in the summer I do it myself a lot:

I usually wash with whatever is in the bathroom window...not even joking..yea, sometimes I push for a shampoo and conditioner that smell good to me when I'm with my mom buying shampoo, but otherwise...I wash my hair with anything from Suave to Pert 2 in 1 to T-Sal (my dad's LOL...dandruff-phobe).

Sometimes I'm on a hair-health kick and put conditioner in (usually Suave, I really like the Coconut and Awapuhi ones) and sleep with it in, then wash it out in the morning. Otherwise I leave it on for anywhere from two minutes to an hour, depending on what I have to do that day.

I tried rollersetting, then flat-ironing, but it really was too much work and I didnt like all the manipulation..I hate seeing hair tangled in the comb. So I'll air dry it in four braids overnight and do something the next day, like a bun or something involving headbands.

Oh! I forgot to mention I comb it out when it's straight, and braid it, then wash and condition it..it really cuts down on breakage --a tip I learned from someone on a Fotki or Black Hair Media Forum (♥♥♥!!) But I haven't gone more than one week with it airdried, so I'm not sure how the combing-out-then-making-braids-and-washing situation would work out (namely because of the combing part!) =p

My dad buys the Organics Root Stimulator hair mayonnaise sometimes, so I use it if it's around...(Yes, I am a product jacker)

update: I'm relaxing my hair again!! <gasp> lol This time around I'm using Mizani Fine/Color-Treated Lye Rhelaxer...and what a hugeee difference it makes!!! My hair feels smoother, thicker, silkier...sooo much better than with no-lye (and it felt great with no-lye!) and it didn't burn ONCE! I'm going to relax twice a year this time around ; )

Andddd I'm sorrry tranzin buddies :( but my hair goal was health and I like it straight too much to subject it to all that damage when natural ://

Soo my hair goals now are to just keep it healthy and see how long it'll grow!
