HOW DO I PURCHASE A CUSTOM POSHHAIR LACE WIG?

Custom wig designs take up to 8 weeks for completion (unless rush or super processing is requested).
1. Review our Photo Albums for pictures of wig styles.
2. Send an email to Sales@PoshHairLaceWigs.com with the name and color of the wig you'd like to purchase. Don't see what you like? Include a picture of your desired wig style in the email to replicate. Be sure to include your full name, full mailing address and contact number. If rush (4-week) or super rush (3-week) processing is preferred, please indicate this request in your email (there is an additional fee applied). If choosing to participate in the Payment Plan, fees for Rush and Super Rush Processing must be paid along with the deposit.
3. Indicate in the email if you will be paying the deposit or full balance (read below for Payment Plan details).
4. We will send you a formal Order Form to capture the other specifications of your custom wig.
5. Once we receive your completed Order Form, we will send you a PayPal invoice to make a secure payment.
6. Once the payment has cleared, we will begin production of your wig.
7. The balance of your order is due within 30 consecutive calendars days from date of initial deposit.
8. We will send you an email confirmation when your wig is ready for shipment. If you have selected to participate in our Payment Plan, we will send you a second invoice to make the final payment.
9. Once we have received full payment, your wig will be promptly shipped via USPS to the address listed in your email (unless another shipping method is requested by client but additional shipping charges may apply). Please allow up to 10 business days for domestic delivery.
10. There are no refunds on full payments or deposits.
11. Due to special coloring or cap techniques, deposits are not offered on "Posh Celebrity" custom designed wigs.

How does your Payment Plan work? We understand how important it is for women to look fabulous without breaking the bank. Therefore, we have created the following Payment Plans just for you. How it works:

1) Payment plans on custom lace wigs will be charged a minimum 50% deposit (plus rush or super rush processing) before the order is sent to production ("Posh Celebrity" custom wigs may require a higher deposit). The deposit amount will be higher for higher hair qualities. Orders will be submitted for production the next day after the initial deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due within 30 consecutive calendar days from the initial deposit date. Custom lace wigs are usually completed within 8 weeks (unless rush/super rush processing is requested) and you will be notified when your order is ready to ship. No cancellations, exchanges or changes allowed once production begins. There are NO REFUNDS on deposits and payments made under our Payment Plans and will be forfeited by the customer if full payment is not received. Payment Plans will not be offered on certain purchases under $300, Clearance Merchandise or certain Sale Items.

2) Payment plans on in-stock lace wigs will be charged a $200 deposit to pull the lace unit from the shelf and hold for a limited time. You will have up to an additional 30 consecutive calendar days from the date of initial deposit to make final payment on the remaining balance. Once the final payment has been received, your order will be shipped to you on the next business day. Please read our Exchange Policy listed below. There are absolutely NO REFUNDS on deposits and payments made under our Payment Plans and will be forfeited by the customer if full payment is not received. Payment Plans will not be offered on certain purchases under $300, Clearance Merchandise or certain Sale Items.

3) Payment plans on handbags and shoes will be charged a 50% deposit plush shipping to pull the unit from inventory and hold for a limited time. You will have up to an additional 30 consecutive calendar days from the date of initial deposit to make final payment on the remaining balance. Once the final payment has been received, your order will be shipped out within 3 business days unless otherwise informed. There are absolutely NO REFUNDS on deposits and payments made under our Payment Plans and will be forfeited by the customer if full payment is not received.

Will my insurance for my lace wig?
Possibly. If you are enduring cancer-related therapy, treatment for alopecia, or need a wig for a medical related issue, you might be covered by your health insurance policy. Most health insurance companies will cover 80%-100% for purchase of a "Cranial Hair Prosthesis" known as a medical wig. You will need to obtain a written prescription or letter from your doctor stating the medical issue you suffer from and the need for a "Cranial Hair Prosthesis" (NOT "wig"). We will then provide you with a receipt that indicates your purchase was made per the doctor's prescription. Typically, you would submit a claim to your insurance company (along with copies of the receipt and prescription) for reimbursement. Check with your insurance provider for full details and coverage limitations.


LACE WIG FACTS AND INFORMATION

What is a lace wig?
A lace wig (also called a lace "unit", "hair system" or "cranial hair prosthetic") is a customizable human hair wig that gives the illusion of hair naturally growing out of your scalp and hairline. The hair is cut from one donor and remains unprocessed and free of any harsh chemicals. The cuticles of the hair are all intact and face the same direction, which allows for less tangling. The term 'full lace' denotes that the base cap is made fully of lace, while 'lace front' wigs have lace in front and different materials at the back of the cap. One is also able to purchase a 'lace frontal' hair piece that can be used with weaving wefts. With this arrangement, the wefts are glued or sewn into one's hair and the lace frontal applied only at the hairline.

Each PoshHair Lace Wig takes over 40 hours to complete and is handmade with experienced wig technicians securing one or more hair strands at a time to the lace base (see below for description of lace options). The hair strands along the hairline are then bleached to give the most natural appearance. The wig is applied with a liquid adhesive or double-sided tape to the outside edge of your hairline. When applied correctly, the adhesive or tape will be on your skin and therefore will not damage your hairline. This adhesion to the skin can hold up to 4 weeks without removal or lifting!

What are the different types of lace used to create the wig?
There are typically three types of lace used to create the base of the lace wig cap -- Super Fine Swiss Lace, Swiss Lace and French Lace. Super Fine Swiss Lace is the thinnest in quality and the most delicate base available. It is perfect for use in the front hairline since it is invisible and does not show. Swiss Lace is slightly thicker than Super Fine Swiss Lace and nearly just as invisible. It is one of our personal favorites to use when making our wigs. French Lace is thicker than Swiss Lace and is relatively undetectable. It is the most durable and popular lace used because of its strength. Each type of lace is available in a variety of neutral colors to match the pigment of your natural scalp.

How does a lace wig differ from regular wigs?
The main advantage of the full lace wig over other styles is that one can wear their hair in up dos, ponytails, and other styles that expose one's nape area. Traditional wigs usually preclude these styling options. Lace wigs are also more lightweight and comfortable than traditional wigs due to the minimization of tension on the scalp.

Who can wear a lace wig?
Some people wear lace wigs and frontals out of a necessity due to medical conditions that bring about hair loss (such as alopecia). Others may wear them as a protective style to help nurture the growth of their natural hair and yet others may choose lace wigs as their preferred hair fashion. Whatever the reason, lace wigs are becoming more popular as people are realizing its versatility, ease, and natural looking appearance. A PoshHair Lace Wig is an excellent choice for women of all ethnicities and with our affordable prices, it is no longer a luxury only enjoyed by celebrities and entertainers.

Can I apply and maintain the wig myself?
Though there is somewhat of a learning curve for perfecting your application, you do not need to have the skills of a licensed cosmetologist to benefit from these extensions. Most people take 30 minutes to apply their wig with practice. We will provide you with the tools needed to perfect your applications. Instructions on how to apply and take care of your wig is included with each lace wig or frontal purchase.

What kind of hair is used?
Our wigs are made of 100% Remi human cuticle hair. Hair is used from one donor (in some cases, it is necessary to use hair from two donors) and its cuticles are aligned in the same direction. This is important because if the cuticles are misaligned, you end up with unruly hair that is prone to excessive matting and tangling. Unlike most of the hair available in your local markets that are unusable after the first wash, our quality hair extensions are soft and natural and will save you lots of money in the long run.

Can I wear lace wigs if I have a full head of hair?
Absolutely! You can braid/cornrow, twist, wrap, or flatten hair to prepare for application. The main objective is to get one's hair as flat as possible for the most natural look.

Is it undetectable?
Once applied correctly our wigs are, indeed, very undetectable. Your admirers may not even believe you if you told them that you were wearing a wig!

How is the length measured and how do I know what length to buy?
The length of our wigs is measured from the crown to the hair's tip (from front to back). The length of layered hairstyles will be described based on the length of the hair before styling. Use measuring tape to measure from the crown of your head to where you want the hair to fall. If the hair of the wig is longer than what you desire, you can have it expertly cut by your stylist.

Do I have to use adhesives to wear my wig?
No- the bobby pin method will work just fine also (using bobby pins to attach wig to client's own hair). It really will depend on your circumstances and lifestyle. Some clients like to remove their wigs on a daily basis and find that pinning it down is convenient even though it allows for less styling options. Others may want to maximize the length of hold and their styling options by applying the wig on their heads' full perimeter with adhesives. The best adhesive for you will depend on your body's chemistry.

How long will my wig last?
The life of your wig will depend on your use and care of it. If properly treated, it should last you 6 months to a 2 years or longer depending on your handling and use.

What density should I order and why does it matter?
The density refers to how thick the hair is and what density you order is really based on personal choice. Most women achieve a natural appearance with light to medium or medium density; however, your choice will depend on your styling preferences and individual profile.

How long can I wear my wig at a time?
Your extended wear will depend on what adhesives you use, your body chemistry and how your skin responds to the adhesives, and how frequently you wish to re-apply. We stress that it is important for you to be mindful of your hair and scalp condition underneath during extended wear. Most clients achieve a 1 to 3 week hold with the right adhesive, washing and nurturing their own hair in between applications. If you are bald or have significant hair loss, you are likely to achieve a much longer hold. For curlier hair textures, we recommend that you remove and clean the unit every 1 to 2 weeks to reduce potential tangling which can result from the hair rubbing along your clothing.

Can I swim in it or play sports?
Yes, you can exercise in your wig if you apply with an adhesive that works with your body chemistry and can withstand this type of activity.

Can the hair be flat ironed or curled?
The hair is 100% human hair that can withstand household styling tools such as curling irons and flat irons. You can wash, set, and style the wig as you would your own hair. But like your natural hair, the hair can get damaged with the misuse and overuse of products. We strongly recommend that you do not attempt to blow dry, flat iron or curl a lace wig that already has a tight curl texture. We cannot and will not be responsible for the results.

Can I have a style or color made that is not currently shown in your gallery?
Yes, our catalog is being continually updated so not every available style is represented on the site. We offer customization at reasonable prices. Please send us your photos and detailed information on how you would like your wig made and we will provide you with a quote.

Can I dye the hair?
The technical answer is yes, but we do not recommend any further processing of the hair if it has already been dyed and processed. Further, only experienced colorists should attempt to color the hair. Remember that though the hair is 100% human hair, it is just as prone to damage from excessive processing as your own hair. We cannot and will not be responsible for the results.

Can I wear my lace front wig in a high ponytail?
Yes, you can wear your wig in a high ponytail once you apply around your full perimeter with adhesives. You will need a cap construction that is made with lace around the perimeter.

Can I part my lace wig and where can lace wigs be parted?
Lace wigs can be parted anywhere on the cap. If you are covering your hair, the trick is to have your parts look natural by either wearing a stocking or wig cap that is close to your skin's color. Some clients can even get a natural looking part without wearing a wig cap.

What are the measurements of your average cap sizes?
If you currently wear lace wig, you may already have an idea of your measurements. If so, please use the following guideline to select your circumference. However, we strongly encourage you to take the appropriate measurements for the most accurate fit (you may send us a request to receive a copy of our Measurement Guideline).

Our average small cap has a circumference of 21 to 21.5 inches.
Our average medium cap has a circumference of 22 to 22.5 inches.
Our average large cap has a circumference of 23 to 23.5 inches.
Our average extra large cap has a circumference of 24 to 25 inches.

SHIPPING AND PROCESSING INFORMATION

When will my order arrive and what shipping methods do you offer?
Custom orders are typically completed within 4 to 6 weeks after payment is received. Please allow an additional 10 business days for delivery. Stock orders are processed and shipped within two business days after payment is received (unless Payment Plan is selected). Some items cannot be shipped by air and require ground shipping. We ship through multiple carriers, but primarily use USPS and FedEx. Please allow an additional 10 business days for delivery of orders shipped by air and an additional 15 business days for ground shipment.

Can orders be shipped to a P.O. box?
Orders being shipped to P.O. box addresses must be shipped via USPS.

Can orders be shipped to countries outside the U.S.?
