I have been natural for two years now. I need plenty help in finding styles for natural hair. I appreciate all of the members imput and advice on hair care.

I never thought I would have trouble finding a naturalist to care for my hair in Miami. Everyone I've gone to don't know anything about carefully manipulating, or maintainence of natural hair. Yesterday,(7/21/07) I found a stylist who washed my hair excellently. However, she was very rough when combing my hair( I wonder how much hair I lost). But she did a good roller set with perm rods on my hair. Maybe I'll have to teach her about how to detangle and comb natural hair. Stay posted I finally figured out how to upload my pictures.

new:9/19/07--The Cathy Howse cream and liquid hair moisturizers are the bomb! My hair's condition has improved drastically. Everyday I spray the UPH dew spray moisturizer and apply the cream moisturizer on my ends (the last 2 inches) My hair breakage has decreased since using these wonderful products.

1/19/09-Well, I finally broke and textulaxed my hair. I couldn't control the knotting and breakage on my hair ends. I rationalized that my 4b hair would be better manageable( especially with two toddlers running around the house) if I textulaxed it. I feel like a drug addict relasping on a drug. I sincerely hope that I have not discourage anyone from continuing or beginning their natural journey. I was natural for almost four years. I learned so much about my hair texture and condition. perhaps when the children grow up a little I can pursue my natural journey again. Please continue to visit my site, I do plan to still update my journey. Thank you for all of your support.

2/3/09--I miss my afro puff! But I can't complain, my hair is not bone straight. I guess I could do a twist out to get "big hair" again.
