- I went natural back in 2001. I never really permed my hair alot but I had my phase of needing the creamy crack. Its now 2011 and i am in a new phase of my life. I am starting back in school (yayyyyy) I am helping my mother with her new business "OF THE EARTH BODY BUTTERS"(yes a shameless plug lol), and I am enjoying being me. I have a beautiful little girl and I am blessed to have a great family supporting me with her as well as having her father still in my life. I recently also decided to start over and I have cut most of my hair off. My hair was "as my dad would say my glory". It is one of the ways I express myself. I decided to cut it off and start over because I abused it with dying it and pressing it and not taking the time to nurture it. I dont think there is anything wrong with dye, pressing, relaxing, etc. to your hair, but for me I no longer can do these things. I am now at a point where I want healthy hair more than that sexy fun new color,fluffy flowing curled beautiful mane of hair. I am learning that what works for others may not work for me and that it is nothing wrong with that.
