- I am a Sisterlocks Consultant, Locktician, Natural Hairstylist and Hair Extensionist. I've been a mom of my 13 year old Deliylah and just gave birth to a 1 month baby girl named Re-An. I am focusing Sisterlocks business towards other new mothers who are looking for a low up keep hair style. This way you can spend more time playing with your baby than do your hair!
A little more about me..
Growing up was hard for me. I didn't have many friends ,and because I was darkskinned, I got teased all the time. From elementary through the early part of high school the teasing continued. It forced me to find things to make me feel proud of who and what I was. I started focusing more on black history, in particular Egyptian culture which predates all the scriptures. I got tired of hearing about slavery. Don't get me wrong; I don't want to pretend it never happen. I just realized that how history surpassed slavery. We were Gods and Goddesses in Eygpt while the rest of the world was still finding uses for fire.
I eventually join a muslim community while in my first year of college. It was the best and the scariest thing I had ever done. I had never been away from home and I was still a virgin too! Talk about "Green"! The appeal was the fact that all the prophet in their publications were nubian. I had'nt until that time ever seen a picture of Jesus depicted as a black man. It was a wonderful stepping stone on my journey to self love. I've been a natural sistah for a long time.As I gain more knowlege about life I reinvent myself.
I am a strict vegan(I don't eat soy either!) and I only drink water unless it's fresh squeezed juice from a juicer. This life style has worked well for. I went from a size 18 to a size 10 in less than 6 months. Natural hair a part of this lifestyle, and it just helps me outwardly express what I feel inside. LOVE!
