- Photography, as defined by me, had always meant taking pictures of my children, family, friends and special events. Last year I met a great friend and photographer. We camped and traveled to many places. I left the picture taking to him. . Finally in March of 2007 I bought my Canon G7. I got very excited because it took really good pictures and was not nearly as complex as his. We went on the Sequoia 07 trip and I started to learn about the different settings. He also started to teach me about editing and told me about Fotki. I got hooked and haven’t stopped taking pictures. On Memorial Day my friend died. He left a big void, but gave me a great hobby.
I am still learning and feel I’m getting better at it. I know I’ve learned to see the world through a different eye. Feel free to help me learn and give me your comments.
