I'm on a mission for all around better health, weight loss, skin, hair, etc. After turning 30 three years ago I feel like I have hit a brick wall, time to get back to my old self.

My goals are:

- Lose 45 lbs by July 2008.
- Have Arm Pit Length Hair by December 2008.
- Get rid of the dark circles that popped up under my eyes and even my skin tone.

Weight Loss:
I am already on the road to recovery with my weight. I started slowly 3 months ago. I'm down 21 pounds (was 189 when started). I have cut my calories to 1200-1300, stopped my Pepsi addiction (haven't had a soda in 4 weeks) and am now eating 5-6 small meals a day, including breakfast which I never used to do. I go to the gym 3-4 days a week and take one or two 60 minute classes each day, burning anywhere from 400-600 calories per hour. I'm taking a daily multi-vitamin and I've stopped snacking at my desk and given up fried foods. (Lord help me!)

I plan to reach my hair goals by washing once a week, DC weekly, daily moisterizing and using protective styles such as wigs, pin ups, buns, braids, etc. I've always stretched my relaxers 2-3 months apart, but now I'm gonna strive for 4 months. My hair can grow long (it has before) but I just have to be diligent with maintenance and nightly tie downs because I do occasionally get lazy.

I wash my face in the morning and before bed with Aveeno cleanser. Followed by Aveeno moisterizer.

I recently started using Vita-K ointment at night for the dark circles and have noticed some slight improvement (although I don't apply as often as recommended).

I'll be updating my photos throughout my journey to overall good health.

Feel free to leave comments/questions. I'll try to respond to everyone.

Best wishes,
