- I have been through some challenging times with my hair both good and bad. So I've decided to start over new and stop the perms. I made that decision in August 2007. Watching my newgrowth come in was liberating and so exciting. In 2008 while still transitioning, I had a major set back and in the August of 08 I put a texturizer in my hair withour doing a whole lot of research. After, that I was so upset with myself because that defeated the purpose of being chemical free. But thanks to the wonderful ladies on Fotki, they have encouraged me to keep going. Since then I have just tried to focus on getting my hair back healthy. So, now I'm watching all the newgrowth creep back in and I promised myself I wouldn't turn back, so here I am. So a little about me. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband for 4 1/2 yrs, we have 2 beautiful boys and are expecting or 3rd son in March. We are so excited. I'm a very spiritual person and believe that the only way to success is through our heavenly father. And everything that I have he has blessed us with. God is apart of me and my family every day and in everything that we do.
