Welcome to my site! I hope you enjoy your time here. If the mood strikes you, please provide honest feedback on any of my photos and/or sign the guestbook. Please don't be a faceless guest! ;-)
I have been interested in photography since I was a kid. I started out taking snapshots with my trusty Kodak InstaMatic, then moved into the SLR world in high school with a Pentax K1000. Before securing a spot on the yearbook staff, I scraped together a wad of cash (for that time AND for a high school kid) and bought a trusty black-body Canon AE-1 Program. Boy, did that camera get a lot of use... right up to the point where I brilliantly left it on the top of my car and it went flying into oblivion on I-84 in Oregon.
I missed my Canon, and within a few months purchased another AE-1 Program that I found in the Seattle Times want ads. It also got a fair bit of use, but finally showed signs of giving up the ghost. Photography seemed to go by the wayside for me for 3-4 years, until a friend of mine got me excited again by showing me her new Minolta SLR. I was bitten again, and started doing research on purchasing a new camera.
Surprisingly I decided to go digital... I wasn't sure that I wanted to give up the look and feel of my SLR, but my research led me to the conclusion that technology had indeed come to the point where I could be comfortable with a digital camera. I ended up buying a Fuji 6900Z which served me wonderfully for over 2 years & over 10,000 shots.
I made the next step to a Digital SLR in September of 2003 and now shoot on a Canon EOS 10D, a 28-135/3.5-5.6 IS USM, a BG-ED3 vertical grip, and a Canon Speedlite 420EX flash. The learning curve is high on this new monster, but it has been a lot of fun experimenting so far.
Enough about me. Enjoy!
