I decided to become natural because my hair was becoming thinner and thinner. I didnt wear a relaxer for a long time (2 years). So I had been natural for 15 years before that.

Before I permed my hair, I had NO idea whatsoever on how to take care of it. When I was a kid, my mom would do braids. But when I got into high school, I decided I was ''too old'' for braids lol so my grandmother (shes a hairdresser) would blow out my hair every week and I would tie it in a bun every single day. I never wanted to leave my hair out because I was ashamed of it :( . Since there was only 10 black girls in my high school and they all had relaxed hair, I didnt know anything else. I didnt know that my hair could be beautiful even if it was natural. I started to find my hair very boring so I decided to relax it.
I relaxed it 2 weeks after I turned 16, I was soo excited! My hair can finally swing!! At that time it was BSL and layered. By Fall 2005, I bleached a part of my hair for prom pics so it got damaged. By Spring 2006 I got a haircut..My hair kept getting shorter and shorter... By Fall 2006 I had a neck lenght bob and I finally got a short cut in March 2007 i think. I was visiting sites like BHM and nappturality.com when I decided to transition for a few months. But I was too excited so I did my BC a month later lol

Last relaxer: February 11th, 2007

Started Transitioning: March 27th 2007

BC: May 12th 2007 I transitioned for 1 month and 2 weeks. I couldnt wait to see my hair lol
