- Hey everyone. I'm 22 years old and have been on my journey for longer, stronger, healthy hair for a year now. For the past two years I have been wearing braids. In 2005 I was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism and during then I received hair loss because of it. In 2006 I visited a website call Grow Afro Hair Long and it inspired me and made me believe that African-American woman can have long and beautiful hair too.
(Update Jan. 2009) I have joined to hair sites hairlista.com and k-i-s-s.biz and hopefully I will get my act together, stop stressing out and achieve my goals this year. I am currently on a deep conditioning challenge on hairlista and I am also on another challenge on k-i-s-s that basically has the same rules.
Goals: Healthier Hair. Stop Breakage
#1: Shoulder Length ( for the front of my hair) -March 2009
Well, I'm not fully shoulder length yet. I've had some set backs in 2008 and wasn't giving my hair the TLC it truly need. Hair still breaking.
